✨ September Newsletter –
Last of the Summer Saturdays ✨
As the long golden evenings of summer slip away, have you noticed how suddenly the nights draw in? It feels like one day we were bathing in sunlight until 10pm, and now we are reaching for cosy blankets. This shift is nature’s reminder that autumn is arriving, and with it comes the perfect chance to slow down, reset, and nourish ourselves more deeply.
This month, our Monday evening sessions return — a space to pause, reconnect, and glow from the inside out: (We also have a third bonus session!)
Mon 1st – bareface yoga hands: gentle techniques to awaken your face from too much summery sun and help boost the collagen in your skin.
Mon 15th – Myofascial with blocks & bolsters: melt away hidden stress, release fascia, and sink into supported stillness.
Mon 29th – bareface gua sha: working with our beautiful heart-shaped tool to lift and smooth out deeper sun residue.
Alongside Mondays, we have two special in-person Saturday workshops:
Sept 13th – bareface yoga workshop at Phoenix, Putney (2:00–3:30 PM): explore facial acupressure, lymphatic drainage, and face yoga routines. With in-person adjustments to your finger techniques, you’ll feel confident bringing them into your daily self-care routine at home.
Sept 27th - Headstand Workshop at Ticho, Barnes (2:30–3:30 PM): an upside-down playful inversion journey to build confidence and strength to practice headstand in the middle of the room.
✨ Looking Ahead ✨
We’re also looking towards World Menopause Month in October, where I’ll be teaching for the 5th year at the Om Yoga Festival with dedicated face yoga and myofascial classes. Watch this space — October will be a celebration of women’s wisdom and vitality.
And something extra exciting: we’re launching a brand-new CPD course for yoga teachers, designed to help you expand your repertoire and weave two essential practices — face yoga and myofascial release — into your teaching. These tools not only nurture your own wellbeing but also empower you to support your women’s community in managing the many symptoms of menopause with confidence and grace.
This September is all about balance, beauty, and preparing for the nourishing season ahead.
I’d love to see you in class, workshop, or festival.
With love & light,
Sue Yen ✨
