Service Description

HYBRID YOGA Please note: this is not a regular Bareface Yoga session. There will be no facial lifting focus. Instead, this is a deep release practice for the head, neck and nervous system using a wooden Gua Sha tool alongside yoga block support. If you experience any of the following, this session is for you: • Neck strain • Headaches and migraines • A "hot head" • Brain fog • Mood swings • Jaw clenching • Insomnia • Dry or itchy eyes We'll begin with the Wooden Gua Sha, learning how to gently release tension through the face, scalp, jaw and temples. We'll then move into neck and eye exercises designed to support circulation, encourage lymphatic flow, and ease dryness, fatigue and seasonal allergies. We'll finish with a deep decompression practice using a yoga block — what I often call a "brain drain." If you've never experienced this before, you're in for a treat. Not all yoga blocks are created equal. The denser the block, the deeper and more effective the release. You will need a yoga block for this session. If you need one, I recommend having two, as future practices will build upon this work, although one is enough for now. A bed is too soft for this particular release work. If you don't yet have a block, you are still very welcome to join and take part in the first half of the session using the Wooden Gua Sha practice. For those familiar with aromatherapy, you may also wish to prepare diluted peppermint oil — always used with care and never neat on the skin.
